Prenatal Massage is a therapeutic massage geared towards helping women with some of the discomforts, aches and pains during pregnancy. Positioning is everything in prenatal massage, so we have a variety of bolstering options depending on individual comfort and the term of the pregnancy. Early term can be supported with simple pillow placement, but as gestation progresses we have a specific support cushion that allows a mother-to-be to relax comfortably on her stomach - taking all of the pressure off of the back without any pressure on the baby.
In addition to relieving the pregnant mother’s physical discomfort, Prenatal Massage can increase circulation, improve digestion, reduce fatigue, reduce stretch marks, reduce swelling, alleviate stress and stabilize hormone levels.
This massage is best done in 90 minute sessions.
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient form of bodywork from Thailand. Starting with a hot foot cleanse and following Sen energy lines this session often brings on a sensation of meditation along with muscle relaxation. Sometimes called "Lazy Man's Yoga" it incorporates passive stretching, acupressure, rhythmic compression and hot herbal compresses. Thai Yoga massage is done on a futon-like floor mat instead of a massage table to accommodate its dynamic nature. This massage helps to improve flexibility, decrease joint pain, and induce relaxation. Perfect for after your hardest workouts.
Athlete's test their body to the limits. They need to maintain themselves to achieve their peak. We provide advanced sports techniques to keep your musculoskeletal system primed to push itself. Sports massage provides benefits such as:

"Ashi" in Japanese means "foot" and "Atsu" means "pressure"; thus, Ashiatsu is a massage done with the therapist’s feet using long fluid strokes along with deep compression. This technique works whole muscle groups as opposed to specific points within the muscle, so while it remains a very deep massage, the pressure is smooth and continuous. It is especially good for low back pain. Not recommended for pregnant women.
Reflexology is a technique that uses specific pressure points, usually on the feet or hands. By manipulating specific reflex points, the trained therapist helps to removes stress, bringing the body into a state of rest and relaxation. Even though the massage focuses on the hands and feet, it creates physiological changes through the whole body. By decreasing stress and increasing circulation, the body can return to a state of perfect balance.
This massage uses sleek heated basalt stones bathed in oil. The therapist uses the heated stones in place of their hands, allowing the smooth weight and heat of the rocks to easily and luxuriously melt tension in muscle tissue like butter. With long gliding strokes of warmth, it is a deeply soothing and relaxing form of massage.
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle way to detect and correct imbalances in the rhythm of the Cranial Sacral System. This system includes the membranes in the brain and cerebrospinal fluid, which surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. Using very light touch, corrections and adjustments can be made to unwind the periostem (connective tissue) surrounding the bones of the head, spine, and sacrum to allow for a more natural movement of the body and flow of cerebrospinal fluid. Let your brain get a chance to rest, reset and unwind!
