Let's talk about Michele Williams, who's been practicing for about six years and whose training is integrative therapies - a lot of Swedish, sports, and deep tissue techniques. She's studied to be a Reiki master and has had Thai massage training as well.
Her massages are an infusion of that and today I used an integration of therapeutic massage, sports massage with stretching and friction, and deep tissue massage with hot stones. Hot stone massage is really beneficial for reducing high blood pressure and stress; it lowers the heart rate. It increases circulation, which allows the muscles to relax in a deeper way. It helps to break down adhesions due to the heat therapy which really opens up the muscles. If you're looking for a massage that's very therapeutic and grounding emotionally and physically, hot stone's the way to go!
